2018 was a very unique period for world markets. In review let’s examine The GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY in reverse. The UGLY - Virtually every stock and bond market worldwide produced negative returns in 2018.
How Significant is that? – the 10 year US Treasury Bond Index and the S&P (US Equity Market Index) have only been negative together 3 years in the past 100. The last time was almost 50 years ago in 1969, the other two 1931 and 1941.
