Gary Cole - Financial Advisor, Life Insurance Advisor, Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS)

For more than forty-three years, Gary has taken a proactive, customer-first approach in the provision of Financial Services. After attending Wilfrid Laurier University, Gary’s 20-year financial institution career started with Household Finance Corp. and Trans Canada Credit followed by management positions with Canada Permanent Trust and Canada Trust. In 1997 Gary started Gary Cole Financial Services which was rebranded to Gary Cole Financial Management (GCFM) in 2012.

Having successfully completed the Canadian Investment Funds Course, the Canadian Securities Course, the Canadian Insurance Course Full LLQP and the Hedge Funds License, and attaining the Responsible Investment Specialist certification, Gary combines technical knowledge with practical experience and delivers an unparalleled commitment to client service. Gary’s expertise in personal finance and his extensive practical experience and knowledge allow him to craft appropriate investment portfolios for any client.

Active in his community, Gary is a past president of the Cambridge North Rotary Club and has received Rotary’s highest honour, a Paul Harris Fellowship, in recognition of his work. He is also a former board member for the Foundation of Action against Drugs and the Friends of the Environment Foundation and has served on numerous Boards of Directors. Gary and his staff are committed to providing solid financial advice based on proven investment principles through ongoing, proactive customer service.

Michael P. Gait – Financial Advisor, Life Insurance Advisor, Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS)

A member of the GCFM team since 2019, Mike is eager for the opportunity to work with new and existing clients. Mike has transitioned from client to protégé (during his 3 years of studies), to Licensed Assistant to Gary, and finally to Financial Advisor as well as a Life and Living Benefits Advisor.

Mike prides himself on socially responsible thinking and applies that to his business philosophy as well as his personal life. Organizing an annual food drive for the Cambridge Foodbank that has raised over 3000 pounds of food for local families is just one example of his commitment.

Rita Stanley - Client Service Coordinator

Rita brings an enthusiastic, friendly and attentive attitude to all things administrative. She has been Gary’s neighbour and friend for close to 20 years and became part of the GCFM team (of 2) in 2012. Rita has had a varied career which includes administrative positions in industry and a law office as well as “Domestic Engineer” and stay-at-home Mom. Rita is the backbone of our operation and is most often the initial contact for clients.

Part basset hound, part doberman, Ella greats clients at the door and looks forward to being pet by clients.
